Isolated

The author of this book, journalist Stanislav Asieiev is being kept in custody in Donetsk since June 2017. The Russia-controlled "Donetsk People's Republic" group detained him only for describing the daily life of the city for an all-Ukrainian and international audience. Stores and cinemas, transport and churches, propaganda in the streets, shelling and new occupation orders, and the views of Donetsk residents - articles and blogs that he wrote under the pseudonym Stanislav Vasin, helped to stay in touch with the occupied territory. The title of this book - “Isolated” - is not only about the place where Stas is now illegally detained (the former factory and art platform called “Isolation” is now transformed into prison by militants), but also about the whole territory the story of which the author described with a risk to life, so that Ukraine and the world knew the truth.
